CLAUDE REGIMBAL

Claude was born in Sturgeon Falls and completed her art studies at the University of Ottawa. She raised her family in Lively and made a career of supply teaching throughout the Greater Sudbury area for more than 30 years.
For many years Claude has been an active member of BRAVO (Bureau des regroupements des artistes de l'Ontario) a provincial francophone art group, the Galerie du Nouvel Ontario (GNOC) an artist run centre as well as the Walden Art Club and now the Creative Minds Art Association. She has exhibited her work in many galleries throughout the province, has won some distinctive prizes and is published in "Pratiques artistiques en Ontario francophone" volume: Couleurs et narrations. Claude's subject matter is inspired by nature, children and anything that stirs her spirit.
Her medium varies from watercolour to acrylic, from tempera to oil. Some of her paintings often include a fragment of the environment as a means to bring in the viewer from which she hopes the spectator will become more aware and sensitive to nature's details.

Elizabeth claims that painting has brought her the much needed peace she sought and direction to her life.

DONNA KANERVA

I am a self-taught artist who began to draw at a young age wherever there were pencils and paper to be found. My high school art teacher encouraged me to explore new mediums and subject matter. Horses are my favourite all-time subject, with soft pastel being the preferred medium. Commissioned portraits of horses and dogs can be found in private collections throughout Ontario and abroad. As a member of the Walden Art Club I have participated in numerous local exhibits and workshops, and look forward to constantly expanding creatively. On a personal note, my three grown sons are my greatest joy. I love to read, cook, garden, and care for our current menagerie of two dogs and two cats.

FAY REID

Being from Scotland the subject of most of Fay's work is the Scottish Highlands and Seascapes. Fay has been fortunate enough to sell her work locally and abroad. When she was in Scotland a few years ago she had the opportunity to have her work displayed at the Childs Art Gallery in Oban, Argyll. Since then she has sent another six pieces to Scotland. Fay has been recognized for her outstanding work over the past few years receiving numerous awards from a variety of juried art shows. In 2006, Fay had her artwork accepted  by the Northern Ontario Art Association for their 2006-2007 Art Tour. In December of 2007 Fay's art was on display at the Sudbury Theatre Center and she also had a spot on CTV. In 2008 Fay was featured in the Sudbury Living magazine. This was a full page article with photographs of 2 of Fay's beautiful paintings. She also managed to teach a 10-week watercolour painting course at the Adult Training Center, Sudbury YMCA in the spring.
"The beauty of Scotland is a never ending source of inspiration for all of my paintings."

LOIS A. POULIN

Lois was born and raised in the Sudbury area. She has always been interested in the art of painting so, after retiring from her full-time job, she decided to take a watercolour art class just for the fun of it. It was during this art class that Lois realized the joy of painting and her natural ability to express herself with watercolours.
In 2002, Lois developed an interest in Egyptian Hieroglyphics as she wanted to do an Egyptian-themed painting for a friend. She was surprised to find that many of her Egyptian pieces sold and also began to have many requests for commissioned works. Lois continues to create Egyptian-themed art as well as a variety of subjects including two of her favourites-floral and landscapes in the watercolour, acrylic and oil painting mediums.
Lois was a member of the Walden Art Club, the Sudbury Art Club and currently is a member of the Creative Minds Art Association. During her membership with all three art clubs she participated in their spring and fall art exhibits and various workshops. Lois has also entered in the LaCloche and N.O.A.A. Juried Art Shows and participated for many years in the Sudbury Art Tours which resulted in many art sales and commissions. She has also donated works to various charities in the Sudbury Area.
Lois's paintings are filled with bright colours and her interests for subject matter are quite varied and uplifting. She states "I have truly found my passion".
